Charging cable is a couple feet too short — any extension that won't void the warranty?
Charging cable on my EvoCharge iEVSE is a couple feet too short for my driveway. Are there any UL-listed extension cables that won’t void my warranty or create a fire risk?

Don't do it. No UL-listed extension cord exists for L2 EV charging and anyone telling you otherwise is selling something. Park closer or get the EVSE relocated. Seen a melted 14-50 extension at a buddy's place last February - not worth the house fire.
Seconding this. No UL-listed L2 extensions exist for a reason. I've seen the aftermath of a melted 14-50. Hard no on extension cords for L2.
Worth noting why no UL-listed L2 extension exists: UL 62 covers portable cords and caps at a 60°C rating. Continuous 32A load through an unlisted extension pushes heat past that right at the connection points, even when the cable gauge looks adequate. The plug face temperature is the actual failure point, not the wire itself.
The plug face is where I've seen failures too — even with a heavy-duty 6-gauge extension cord, the molded plug just can't shed heat from 32A continuous. The UL listing gap isn't a paperwork issue, it's a physics one.
Relocating the EVSE is the right call. I've moved a dozen units for customers who bought a short-cable model. Cost is usually $200-400 depending on how far you're moving and whether conduit needs rerouting. Cheaper than a new unit, and way cheaper than replacing what an extension cord can melt.
OP, did you end up relocating the EVSE or are you still looking for a workaround? Some EvoCharge units support a cable replacement with a longer whip — worth checking your model number.
Tested the iEVSE against a stack of other Level 2 units for my channel, this cable question comes up a lot. EvoCharge does sell a replacement cable assembly for the iEVSE line — part number EVCP16-xxx, where xxx is the length in feet, up to 25'. It's not hardwired, the cable plugs into a proprietary connector inside the unit, so swapping takes maybe 15 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver. Going to the 25-footer bumps voltage drop up slightly at 32A but nothing to worry about. Skip the resellers, call EvoCharge support directly — mine ran about $180.
Had a buddy's RV extension cord melt at the J1772 connection after about two months of use — that's what got me to just order EvoCharge's longer OEM cable instead. Wasn't a bad swap, cheaper than moving the whole unit around.
Hardwired or plug-in? That changes the answer. Also, what's the exact model number of your iEVSE — some of them have a detachable cable you can swap for a longer one.

First year with my Level 2 I left the connector sitting in a spot where the sprinkler hit it. Had to figure that out the hard way. For your cable issue - check if EvoCharge sells a longer whip. Some of those units let you swap the cable out, way safer than any extension cord.
Weirdly similar thing happened to me — sprinkler hit my connector every morning for a week before I noticed. Different problem than yours though. Check EvoCharge's accessories page, they list a longer cable option for the iEVSE that might solve the length issue without an extension cord.

Four winters in Nashua with an outdoor Level 2 and zero issues. Never used an extension cord. The holster keeps the connector dry and the cable is long enough to reach. If yours isn't, get a longer OEM whip from the manufacturer.

Never needed an extension cord here — the factory cable reaches fine and the holster keeps the connector out of the weather. If yours is too short, look into a longer OEM cable from EvoCharge before you improvise anything.

Heat buildup at the connection point melts those plug faces regardless of outside temp — that's the actual failure mode, not the cable gauge. Get a longer OEM cable or relocate the unit instead; either one costs a lot less than fire damage.
