Connector Type

Your EV charger cost hundreds of dollars — and right now it's sitting on the garage floor, dragging cable across concrete every time you plug in. The WenStorm EV Charger Wall Mount Holder fixes that. Screw it into any wall (wood stud, drywall, brick, or concrete), hang your charging handle in the precision-angled holster, and coil up to 50 feet of cable on the widened hook. That's enough capacity for the longest Tesla Wall Connector cable or portable Level 2 charger on the market. Available in J1772 ($13.99) and Tesla NACS ($13.99) versions — pick the one that matches your charger. No more cable in a puddle, no more nozzle scratched from floor drops, no more weight pulling on your NEMA outlet.

At a glance: J1772 or NACS variant · Holds 50 ft / 50 lb of cable · PP+GF reinforced polypropylene · Screws + wall anchors included · Wood stud, drywall, brick, or concrete mounting · Indoor and outdoor rated

Key Features

Pick J1772 or NACS to Match Your Charger

Two variants at $13.99 each. Choose the J1772 version for Ford, Rivian, Hyundai, Kia, GM, and every non-Tesla EV charging handle. Choose the NACS version for Tesla Wall Connectors, Tesla Mobile Connectors, and WenStorm NACS portable chargers. Both use the same reinforced construction and mounting hardware.

Holds 50 ft / 50 lb of Cable

Widened hook sized for the heaviest Level 2 charging cables — including the 25 ft cable on the WenStorm portable charger and Tesla Wall Connector's fixed 24 ft cable. No sagging, no cable memory kinks, no tripping hazard on the garage floor.

Precision-Angled Holster Protects the Connector

The holster is molded at an angle that keeps the charging handle tucked close to the wall (not sticking straight out into your parking space) while shielding the connector pins from rain, snow, dust, dirt, and floor impact when not in use.

PP+GF Industrial Construction

Reinforced polypropylene plus glass fiber — the same material class used in industrial cable management. Rated for the temperature range and UV exposure of both indoor garages and outdoor wall installations. Won't crack in winter freeze or become brittle under summer sun.

Mounts to Any Wall Surface

Ships with heavy-duty screws and multi-surface wall anchors that handle wood studs, drywall, brick, and concrete. No specialty hardware run required — everything you need is in the box.

5-Minute Install, No Electrician

Drill two holes, insert the anchors, drive the screws, hang the holster. Full installation takes under 5 minutes with a basic drill. Instructions included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers about compatibility, plug types, outlet matching, and charging speed.

Will this fit my J1772 charging handle?

Yes. The J1772 variant is precision-molded to fit the standard SAE J1772 connector shape used by every non-Tesla EV sold in North America since 2010, including Ford Mach-E and F-150 Lightning, Rivian R1T/R1S, Hyundai Ioniq 5/6, Kia EV6/EV9, Chevy Bolt, Nissan Leaf and Ariya, Volkswagen ID.4, and all portable J1772 chargers. The fit is snug enough to hold the handle securely without sliding, but loose enough for smooth one-handed removal when you're ready to plug in.

Will this fit my Tesla or NACS charging handle?

Yes. The NACS variant is molded to fit the SAE J3400 (NACS/Tesla) handle shape. It works with the Tesla Wall Connector (Gen 2 and Gen 3), the Tesla Mobile Connector (UMC) that ships with new Teslas, and WenStorm's own NACS portable Level 2 chargers. If your handle has a J1772-to-NACS adapter permanently attached, the fit will depend on the adapter's shell dimensions — most adapters extend the handle by 3-4 inches, which the holster still accepts.

Which variant should I choose — J1772 or NACS?

Match it to your charger's connector, not your EV. If your charger's plug is the smaller round Tesla-style shape, pick NACS. If your charger's plug is the larger five-pin round J1772 shape, pick J1772. If you have both a Tesla and a non-Tesla EV, buy both variants ($27.98 total) and mount them side by side — most multi-EV households do exactly this. See our guide: One EV Charger for NACS and J1772 Cars: 4 Home Options.

Can I dock the handle with a NACS-to-J1772 adapter still attached?

Usually yes, but the fit depends on the adapter. Most compact adapters (like the WenStorm NACS-to-J1772 Adapter 50A) add 2-3 inches of length to the handle, which the holster still holds securely. Bulkier 80A-rated adapters may not fit — in that case, dock the bare handle and store the adapter separately, or use the holster only when the adapter is removed.

How much cable weight can it actually hold?

The widened hook is rated to support 50 pounds of coiled cable, which covers the heaviest Level 2 cables on the market. A typical 25-foot 32A portable Level 2 cable weighs about 8-12 lbs; a 40-foot Tesla Wall Connector cable weighs about 15-18 lbs. Both are well within the holster's rated capacity. The wall anchors are the second link in the chain — install them into a wood stud or use the included multi-surface anchors for full rated load. See what other owners found: My 14-30 dryer outlet — how heavy of a charger can I actually hang off it safely?

Can I mount this on concrete, brick, or outdoor stucco walls?

Yes. The included multi-surface wall anchors are designed for wood studs, drywall, brick, concrete, and stucco. Use a masonry bit for brick and concrete; a standard bit for wood and drywall. For outdoor stucco, drill through to the wood framing behind if possible for maximum hold; if there's no framing, the multi-surface anchor will still hold the rated load in solid stucco. Installation instructions cover all four surface types. Related discussion: Wall-mount charger cracked my garage drywall — should I have used a stud finder or is this a design flaw?

Will the plastic survive outdoor winter freezing or summer UV sun?

Yes. The PP+GF (polypropylene plus glass fiber) construction is rated for the full outdoor temperature and UV exposure range. It won't become brittle in sub-zero winter temperatures or crack under prolonged direct summer sunlight. This is the same material class used in commercial cable management, not the cheap ABS used in some entry-level holsters that yellow and crack after a season outdoors. Will hanging the cable here reduce strain on my NEMA 14-50 outlet?

Yes, significantly. Without a holster, the full 8-18 lb weight of a coiled Level 2 cable hangs off your NEMA 14-50 outlet's blades or dangles from the charger's control box. That's not what the outlet or the plug is designed to support long-term — it accelerates outlet wear, causes plug looseness, and in the worst case leads to arcing and burned outlets. Hanging the coiled cable on this wall mount transfers the weight to the wall anchors, where it belongs.
