WenStorm RV Park EV Charging Adapter Kit
RV parks and campgrounds may provide different electrical hookups from one location to another. Some sites offer a 120V NEMA TT-30 outlet, while others provide a 240V NEMA 14-50 outlet. The WenStorm Tesla Gen 2 RV Park EV Charging Adapter Kit gives Tesla owners both adapter options in one portable road-trip bundle.
Designed for drivers who already own a Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector, the kit helps reduce the risk of arriving at an RV site with an outlet that does not match the adapter you brought.
Requires a Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector — charger not included.
Why Carry Both Adapters
RV parks do not all use the same electrical receptacle. A reservation may provide a 30A TT-30 hookup, a 50A NEMA 14-50 hookup or a choice of both. Carrying both adapters gives you a compatible option for more RV-site configurations.
Why You Need the TT-30 Adapter
Many 30A RV sites provide only a 3-prong NEMA TT-30R outlet. The standard adapters supplied with a Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector do not fit this receptacle. The WenStorm TT-30 adapter lets you use these 120V RV hookups instead of losing the site as a potential overnight charging location.
TT-30 Charging—Up to 24A at 120V
The TT-30 adapter supports approximately 2.9 kW when used with a compatible outlet and Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector. A compatible Tesla may add approximately 7–10 miles of range per hour. This is slower than NEMA 14-50 charging but can still add useful range during an overnight stay.
Best Time to Use the TT-30 Adapter
Choose the TT-30 adapter when the reserved site provides a 30A RV hookup and no compatible NEMA 14-50 outlet is available. It gives you an additional charging option at campgrounds where only 120V TT-30 service is provided.
Why You Need the NEMA 14-50 Adapter
Many 50A RV sites provide a 4-prong NEMA 14-50R outlet. This connection supplies 240V power, allowing the Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector to deliver its maximum supported charging output. It is the preferred adapter when both compatible outlet types are available.
NEMA 14-50 Charging—Up to 32A at 240V
The NEMA 14-50 adapter supports approximately 7.7 kW through a Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector. A compatible Tesla may add approximately 20–30 miles of range per hour, making it better suited for adding substantial range during an overnight stop.
Best Time to Use the NEMA 14-50 Adapter
Choose NEMA 14-50 when the campground offers a compatible 50A electrical site and faster overnight charging is important. This is generally the stronger option before a long driving day or when the vehicle arrives with a lower battery level.
When Both Outlets Are Available
Use the compatible NEMA 14-50 outlet for faster 240V charging when permitted by the campground. Keep the TT-30 adapter as a backup for locations where only a 30A, 120V RV outlet is available.
For Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector Only
Both adapters attach to the interchangeable outlet-adapter connection on a Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector. They do not fit Tesla Gen 1 or Gen 3 Mobile Connectors, Tesla Wall Connectors, WenStorm portable chargers or unrelated third-party charging equipment.
Mobile Connector Not Included
These adapters cannot charge a vehicle by themselves. This bundle is intended for Tesla owners who already have a compatible Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector.
Correct Connection Order
Compatible RV outlet → matching WenStorm adapter → Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector → Tesla vehicle.
TT-30 Is Not a Dryer Outlet
A NEMA TT-30R is a 3-prong, 120V RV receptacle. It is different from a NEMA 10-30 dryer outlet, which is typically 240V. Compare the receptacle with the product photos before connecting.
How to Identify a TT-30 Outlet
A NEMA TT-30R receptacle normally has two angled blade openings and one round ground opening. Use the TT-30 adapter only with a correctly identified, compatible TT-30R outlet.
How to Identify a NEMA 14-50 Outlet
A NEMA 14-50R receptacle has four openings and is commonly provided at 50A RV sites. Do not confuse it with NEMA 14-30, NEMA 6-50 or other visually similar receptacles.
Portable Road-Trip Flexibility
Store both adapters with your Tesla Gen 2 Mobile Connector so you can select the correct adapter after inspecting the electrical pedestal at your reserved site.
Confirm Before Traveling
Not every campground offers electrical hookups, and not every property permits EV charging. Ask which outlet will be provided, reserve an electrical site and confirm that EV charging is allowed before arrival.
Inspect Before Connecting
Do not use a receptacle that is loose, damaged, discolored, wet or unusually warm. Charging speed may be reduced by low voltage, poor outlet condition, campground wiring, temperature or vehicle limitations.
Bundle Savings
$116.98—a 10% saving compared with the $129.98 combined individual price.
