The WenStorm J1772 Renter EV Charging Kit combines a 25 ft Level 1 portable charger with a 25 ft J1772 extension cable, providing approximately 50 ft of combined charging reach from a compatible 120V household outlet.

Designed for rental homes, townhouses, private garages, and apartments with authorized outlet access, the kit can be set up when needed, stored after charging, and taken with you when you move.

A Portable Charging Setup for Renters: Charge without permanently mounting a wall charger or drilling into the property. Both cables can be disconnected, coiled, and moved to your next home when your lease ends.

Up to 50 FT of Combined Reach: The portable charger includes a 25 ft cable, and the J1772 extension adds another 25 ft. This can help connect a suitable garage outlet to a vehicle parked in the driveway or reach a charging port located farther from the outlet.

For the Round Five-Pin J1772 Port: Designed for electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids with a J1772 charging inlet, including many models from Chevrolet, Ford, Hyundai, Kia, Nissan, Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW, and other manufacturers. Connector standards can vary by model year, so compare your vehicle’s charging port with the product photos before ordering.

Plug Into a Compatible 120V Outlet: The integrated NEMA 5-15 plug connects directly to a properly installed, grounded household outlet for Level 1 charging. No separate outlet adapter or permanently installed wall charger is required.

Designed for Overnight Top-Ups: Level 1 charging typically adds approximately 2–5 miles of range per hour. It is particularly useful for plug-in hybrids, shorter daily commutes, overnight top-ups, and backup charging when a 240V charging setup is unavailable. Actual speed depends on the vehicle, temperature, outlet condition, and circuit capacity.

No Household Extension Cord Required: The included extension connects between the portable charger’s J1772 handle and the vehicle. It is purpose-built for compatible EV charging and avoids daisy-chaining an ordinary household extension cord.

Easy to Pack and Move: Store the cables in a garage, closet, or vehicle trunk when they are not in use. The complete setup can move with you instead of becoming a permanent part of the rental property.

Safety Monitoring and Weather Resistance: The portable charger is ETL Listed and includes temperature monitoring designed to reduce or stop charging if unusual heat is detected. Use Only With Permission: Obtain permission before using an outlet owned by a landlord, property manager, HOA, or shared building. Never route the cable through doors or windows where it could be pinched, across public walkways, or through areas where vehicles could drive over it.
